We will be able to offer a graduate research assistantship that pays $11,500 USD during the academic year and an out-of-state tuition remission valued at $10,407 USD.  The total package is valued at $21,907 USD and can be renewed for the second year of study.  Course work and research would be performed in Cullowhee.  The topic of the research is flexible and the student can work with any of our faculty on a variety of different research projects.  We have approximately a 1:1 faculty to graduate student ratio, so student work very closely with faculty.  Many of our students seek employment in industry after graduation, but our international student often go on to earn a Ph.D.  The my last two international MST students are currently earning Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University.
